Location Details

Join this 14 day  short term mission trip to Uganda, for groups and individuals. This mission gives you chance to experience missionary life in Africa and participate in helping local communities, Churches and partner ministries achieve their dreams, while you get a real holiday including a Safari

The short term Uganda mission itinerary presented here is only a general idea. Details can be changed based on your group’s interests or abilities. We will discuss your outreach at length prior to going so that your individual interests are accommodated, as well as our partner ministry projects needs are met.

We want to enable you and your team to operate within their strengths and use whatever creative resources might be at your disposal to provide you with an amazing outreach experience. Please keep in mind that this will only be a basic, tentative itinerary. Plans can often change at the last minute and we want to keep our hearts open and obedient to what God is doing.

Day 1 Arrival: On arrival at the International Airport, you will be met by a Msafiri representative who will take your accommodation. Settle in at your accommodation chill out and have a well earned rest.  Dinner will be at your accommodation.

Day 2 Mission project day: After breakfast, you will be taken and introduced to the staff at the projects and given a guided tour . After this initial introduction, you will then have the opportunity to become involved straight away.  You will take a packed lunch.  Return to your accommodation for dinner

Day 3 Mission project: Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided.  Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 4 Mission Project: Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided.  Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 5   Mission Project: Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided.  Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 6 Mission Project: Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided.  Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 7 Mission Project: Spend half day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided. Say good byes to people in at the Mission projects, then after this we drive to Kampala if your mission is based some where else.  Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 8  Church/ relaxing day: After breakfast, (Optional) Go to an early church service at a Church with 2,000 other people.  After Church, head back to accommodation for Lunch, then in the afternoon go to Ndere centre for an open theatre where you will see dances and songs from different parts of Uganda.( This is for mission trips to Uganda a similar option will be available in Nairobi)

Day 9 Murchison Falls National Park: You will leave Kampala, head to Murchison Falls National Park in the northwestern part of Uganda. On your way, you will see people doing their day to day activities that help them earn a living. With lunch en route, you will arrive in early evening and then have a short tester game drive. Check-in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight at Red Chili    

Day 10 Game drive: We do an early morning game drive, a good time to see the predators. Other animals to see in this park are warthog, hyena, giraffe, elephant, kob and many more.  This game drive will last a minimum of 4 hours; you can choose whether to have your breakfast packed before you leave for the game drive or have it when you come back from the game drive.  Be back to accommodation in time to freshen up and have lunch. You will then go for the boat launch at exactly 2:00 pm; it starts at Paraa Lodge and ends at the foot of Murchison falls, lasting 3 hours. This boat trip will enable you to see Hippos, crocodiles and a lot of bird life.  Dinner at your accommodation.    

Day 11 Back to Kampala: This day, you will have a relaxed breakfast as you go back home. You will go to the top of the falls on your way out of the park. You then will have your lunch on the way back, and return to Kampala in the evening.    

Day 12 Kampala city Shopping: Today you get chance t have a rest, then later on go to Kampala city’s famous craft shops to pick up souvenirs for your people back home. Have a restful afternoon possibly at Munyonyo swimming resort then back to the accommodation for the evening.

Day 13: Departure: Today, you pack and say your goodbyes (depending on flights). You will head off to the Air port for your flight back home.  An afternoon or evening flight will be best.
